Day eight: colours

with 2 comments

It’s been a few days since the last post and I could blame the internet connection, but that would be unfair. I just do not know where the time goes!

I love Photoshop. This photo was taken at Bosbok. I love the colours, after tweaking the pic in Photoshop,  off course.

Day seven: Mieke-Lee

leave a comment »

I could not post a pic yesterday – was at the hospital for most of the day and exhausted when I got home. Our second grandchild – Mieke-Lee was born yesterday morning at 08:05. She is gorgeous and her mom, Sasha, was so brave.
She weighed in at 3,37kg and 53cm! Beautiful beautiful baby. We are so blessed.

Our daughter Sasha and her beautiful new-born, Mieke-Lee.

Day six: monkey @ Shingwedzi

I spotted this monkey outside the shop in Shingwedzi camp in the Kruger National Park. He was rummaging through the dustbins and seemed to know exactly what he wanted on a hot summer’s day.

Day Five: Mopane trees

Day four: Janka and Sasha

Our two daughters, Janka and Sasha. The photo was taken in 2010. Janka was about eight months pregnant and Sasha had just heard she’s expecting as well. Joshua was born on August 11 and Mieke-Lee will say hello to the world in three days. Sasha is booked for a c-section on Wednesday, January 19.

Day three: Pieter at Shalimpo

leave a comment »

About two years ago my husband, Pieter and I visited with friends at Shalimpo. It’s a small island in the confluence of the Limpopo and Shashe rivers on the borders of South Africa, Botswana and Zimbabwe. It is a peaceful, beautiful place and Frans and Anne are the best friends one could wish for.

I think the tree may be slightly ahead in the wrinke race.

Day two: pic-a-day

I love this picture. Pity about the grass across baby’s bum. I like the way ‘monkey does what monkey sees.’ The picture was taken near Tshokwane in the Kruger National Park. I was on my way home (Phalaborwa) from Skukuza.
